Night Sky
They are concealed deep in space, far away from our solar system – magnificently coloured and very beautiful nebulae, clusters of stars and galaxies. These distant objects can only be photographed with the aid of long exposure times, together with compensation for rotation of the Earth. It is an enormous technical effort, but the results show amazing details that were reserved only to large observatories until just a few years ago. Most of the following pictures have been taken with a digital single lens reflex camera and a 4" apochromatic lens (refractor telescope).

Mark Hellweg - who has always had a passion for astrophotography since he was first gripped in his childhood by the beauty of our universe – has tried to capture the splendid colours of the nebulae on slide film. It has been only as from just a few years ago however that digital technology has enabled previously inconceivable picture quality, something of which he, as a young amateur astrophotographer, could only dream, but that is impressively presented today however in his breathtaking pictures.
The pictures will be printed on a matt photo paper surface. The grounded wooden legdes will be high class refined for your frame manually. The frame colours were created especially for the colour tones of astronomical pictures, and are being offered on 2 ledge profiles (profile "minor": flat ca. 32mm wide and profile "major": peaked, ca. 37mm wide).
All framed pictures are equipped with less reflecting glass (one side coated). That allows a relaxed viewing with nearly completly avoiding interferce of reflexes, without loosing the necessary contrast
Your image file will be sent by us to a photo lab for printing on photo paper. The complete framed picture will then be shipped centrally by our partner, the TH. HEINSIUS + M. LAMPERT Goldleistenmanufaktur GmbH & Co. KG, directly to the delivery adress you submitted within your order.
